Students and accompanying teachers will participate in various workshops, discussions and meetings.  The main topic of this exchange is to show the students, the teachers , the local communities the different aspects of the slow time, of the how the save the planet to demonstrate its importance of the ecology in everyday life.

04. 02. 2018 Sunday

  •  Arrival and accommodation in the hotel and families.

 

05. 02. 2018 Monday (1st day)              

Keep calm and happy day, you are in Satriano

  • 9:00 Meeting at school; icebreaking;
  • 9:30 Welcome of our guests from the headmaster;
  • 10:00 – 10:45 Presentations of the teams/ schools/ cities/ countries;
  •  10:45 Coffee break;
  • 11:00 – 12:30 ”How to save the planet”_ team building and communication workshops;
  • 12:30 – 13:15 Visiting the school; attending lessons;
  • 13:30 – 14:30 Lunch at canteen; teachers and students;
  • 14:30 – 17:30 treasure hunt in the old city with use of Aurasma app;
  • 17:30 Students go back to families.
  • 19:30 Dinner for teachers.

06. 02. 2018 Tuesday (2nd day)                 

Day of history and art … you are still in Satriano

  • 8:30 Meeting at school;
  • 9:00  – 11:30 Presentation and debate “ How to save the planet”. Workshop using the interactive platform Kahoot ;
  • 11:30 – 13:15  Visit to the ancient tower of Satriano;
  • 13:30- 14:30  Lunch at canteen; teachers and students;
  • 14:30 – 16:30 Workshop “Opificio delle @rti”,  where the ancient and modern crafts meet;
  • 16.30  School terminate, students return home
  • 20:00 Dinner for teachers.

07. 02. 2018 Wednesday (3rd day)        

Matera – European Capital of Culture 2019

  • 7:30 Meeting and going by bus to Matera city and surroundings;
  • 9:30 – 12:30 Visiting with the tourist guide in the old city and Palombaro;
  • 13:00 – 14:30 Lunch in a typical restaurant in the Sassi di Matera;
  • 14:30 – 16:30 departure for Castelmezzano (Dolomiti Lucane);
  • 17:00 departure and arriving in Satriano di Lucania.
  • Free evening.

08. 02. 2018 Thursday (4th day)            

 Tree man’s day, you are really Satrianese

  • 9:00 Meeting at school with the association "Al Parco";
  • 9:30 – 11:30 Hike in the wood for the collection of  ivy;
  • 11:30 – 13:00 Ecological workshop: construction of the carnival mask by Satriano – “The Tree Man”
  • 13:30 – 14:30 Lunch at pub “Crazy Horse”;
  • 15:00 – 15:30 Meeting in the school gym to wear the mask built during the ecological workshop;
  • 15:30 - 17:00  Start the masked parade  on the streets of the village of Satriano di Lucania;
  • 17:00 – 19:00 Arrival of the parade in the Abbamonte square; igniting the fire of friendship; welcome by the parents with typical food, final flash mob.

09. 02. 2018 Friday (5th day) 

Slow time’s day, don’t worry … you are in Sant’Angelo le Fratte

  • 9:00 Meeting at school to plant the olive tree;
  • 9:30 Departure to Sant'Angelo le Fratte;
  • 10:00  – 13:00 Painting workshop on canvas and start of the contest "from a photo ... the picture";
  • 13:00 – 13:30 Workshop “How to save the planet”, recover traditions, returning to the home economy, abandoning industrial foods;
  • 13:30 – 14:30 Lunch at the “La Cantina” restaurant, with hand-made pasta done during the home economist workshop;
  • 15:00 Students go back to families and teachers go to B&B;
  • 18:00 Party organized by host parents, students and teachers;
  • Goodbye.

10 .02. 2018 Saturday

It’s time to say goodbye

  • Departure.
